Blood Brothers’ contextualizes the deep stigmas associated with queerness and illness in Taiwan’s current HIV pandemic to the waves of cultural oppression resulting from its serial colonial legacy. In 2019, Blood Brothers was commissioned as a performance installation for the groundbreaking Interminable Prescriptions for the Plague exhibition in MOCA-Taipei. In 2021, the Chinese Cultural Center in San Francisco commissioned Blood Brothers for their WOMEN: From Her to Here exhibit.
